What made you start the brand GEMS? 

The name GEMS stands for: Gifted. Empowering. Motivating. Sisters.

 "I want to create a safe space for women of color to find and use our voices. I believe that women of color should have a platform that celebrates us and our uniqueness. The GEMS Collective is a sisterhood, that is grounded in establishing deep connections, while empowering and motivating one another other to use our gifts and tell our stories. I will use this brand to unite women of color through positive affirmations, powerful statement-driven apparel, healing workshops and community events."
